EARLY LIFE

BIRTH

Chief Eugene Chidiebere Anachebe was born into the family of Late Pa and Mrs Anachebe on the 12th February 1959 in Lagos State, Nigeria.

EDUCATION

He started his primary education at St Monica Primary school Umuezena Umudim Nnewi and finished at St John’s Catholic Primary School Akamili Umudim Nnewi. He proceeded to Enugu where he joined Lady V.M Ojukwu who he fondly called Aunty for his secondary school Education at Nike Grammar School, Nike Enugu. During his stay in Enugu, he was a devoted catholic christian which also made him to be one of the mass servers in the church.

IDEAS AND INFLUENCES

After his secondary Education he joined Civil Service at Ministry of Works Old Anambra State, he worked for some years before he joined his brother Chief Dennis Okafor in freight forwarding business which made them to form DENCA SERVICES LIMITED in January 21st 1987. The name DENCA compromise DENNIS and CHIDIEBERE ANACHEBE, the two inseparable brothers until death now do them part.

The started DENCA SERVICES as a freight forwarding company which later give birth to so many other subsidiaries under the same umbrella.

He scarifies a lot for the company to be where they are today to the extent that so many called him “WORKAHOLIC”, beacuse there was no time limit both for himself, his family, and his social life etc.

He was amiable Managing Director; He attended many professional courses like, Lagos Business School and a member in so many professional bodies like Fellow Institute Of Shipping (FINS), Chartered Institute Of Shipping, Nigeria Shippers Council, Nigeria Chamber Of Commerce, Nigeria British Chamber Of Commerce, Nigeria/ America Chamber Of Commerce, Institute Of Directors(IOD), Nigeria/German Business Associate, Lagos Chamber Of Commerce & Industry Member Bonded Terminal Association Of Nigeria. He Was The National Treasurer Bonded Terminal Association.

AWARDS

He also held several awards of which few are mentioned thus: Outstanding Hero Of Umudim Award (2003), Fresh Leadership Award (2003), Contribution To Growth & Development Of Nigeria Award (2003), Best Clearing Agent Award (1999), Eagle Hope Award (2004), Global Freight News (2007) and so many others.

AS A PHILANTROPIST

He was into humanitarian services like giving scholarships to so many people, helping the widowa, less privileged. His generosity attitude has touched so many families both far and near.
